Major Responsibilities:
80 Advanced machining process development including grinding, burnishing, milling, polishing, rolling but not limited to above
80 Process equipment development and tool development for good quality and low cost
80 Process development and process parameters optimize
80 Process standard setup and documentation
80 Responsible for leading the new machining tooling/ equipment design review and runoff for new project base on project schedule.
80 Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and machine runoff standards.
80 Optimize manufacturing process to meet Uptime, *** Time Quality and Changeover goals
80 Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality efficiency improvements.
80 Maintaining manufacturing documents, such as SMD, PFMEA, PFD, W/I, etc.
80 Perform design and development of manufacturing process including production flow, layout, assembly process, development on fixture and equipment.
80 Lead process problem solving / root cause analysis.
80 Maintain BOP, and develop new process
80 Create process standard and training for ME
80 Analysis current process, and make a cost down plan
80 Work with PE team to develop new product
80 Optimize machine FTQ based on tools, 3L5W, 8D, FAST-X, 6σ
80 Support analysis machine shut down and continue improvement
80 Reduce manufacturing cost through tool improvements and management
80 Other staff assigned
Skills and Abilities/Qualification:
80 Bachelor’s degree of mechanical engineering, machining engineer preferred
80 AutoCAD capability preferred
80 Familiarity with Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens control devices preferred
80 Able to understand and apply manufacturing standards and tools, including CPI, PFMEA, PFD, SPC, etc.
80 Able to develop standard and specialized processes and tooling used in manufacturing production
80 Able to generally understand the industrial hydraulic, pneumatic system and controls
80 Self-motivated, accepts responsibility for assigned area
80 Able to clearly communicate in written and verbal English
80 Able to travel as required
80Experience:
80 8 Yrs experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
80 Rack, Worm Machining experience preferred
80 6 sigma training preferred.
